The ASU FIDM Museum is Los Angeles's only fashion museum, featuring a 15,000-piece collection spanning over 400 years of fashion history. Visitors explore haute couture and ready-to-wear garments, world dress, film costumes, accessories, jewelry, textiles, fragrance packaging, and ephemera through rotating exhibitions. Current exhibitions showcase legendary designers and their work; the museum presents items such as evening gowns, blouses, purses, and costume pieces alongside supporting historical materials. Part of the ASU FIDM fashion school, the museum provides public access to its collections through changing exhibitions and research opportunities. The museum operates Wednesday through Saturday during exhibition periods and offers free admission. Hour-long guided tours are available by appointment, including behind-the-scenes access to museum storage. The ASU California Center location in downtown Los Angeles is accessible by car, metro rail, and bus service.
