About Long Beach Museum of Art
The Long Beach Museum of Art operates two locations—LBMA Ocean, a historic museum overlooking the Pacific at 2300 E Ocean Boulevard, and LBMA Downtown, a dynamic contemporary art space at 356 E 3rd Street. Visitors explore rotating exhibitions of painting, sculpture, contemporary craft and design, including current shows like Shapes, Places, and Faces: New Acquisitions 2025 and Why Paint a Landscape? LBMA Ocean sits on a beautifully landscaped campus where Claire Falkenstein's water sculpture Structure and Flow anchors the grounds, visible from Claire's at the Museum, an oceanfront restaurant with views of the Queen Mary and Catalina Island. The museum has collected works in all media since 1950. Service dogs are welcome in all public areas. LBMA Downtown offers free admission; LBMA Ocean charges general admission. Diners at Claire's who present their receipt at the front desk receive 50% off museum admission, according to lbma.org.
