Fancy going together?
Admission from $15. Open Thursday–Sunday 11AM–5PM.
Long Beach Museum of Art overlooks the ocean in Long Beach with an aerial view showcasing Southern California artists' work across painting, sculpture, contemporary craft and design. Visitors explore two locations: LBMA Ocean at 2300 E Ocean Blvd, featuring Southern Californian artists, and LBMA Downtown at 356 E 3rd St, a dynamic space for emerging and established artists. The permanent collection includes works such as Vasily Kandinsky's abstract oil painting "Points" and Claire Falkenstein's 22-foot copper and Venetian glass water sculpture "Structure and Flow." Current exhibitions rotate throughout the year, with recent shows examining skateboarding culture and new acquisitions. The oceanfront campus includes Claire's restaurant, offering outdoor dining with views of the Queen Mary and Catalina Island. The museum publishes admission prices online, with free entry for children twelve and under and Long Beach Unified School District students. Hours and parking information appear on the venue's website.
