Escape Room LA is Los Angeles' first escape room, operating since 2014 from a downtown location at 120 E. 8th Street. Visitors work through immersive 60-minute themed games designed by Hollywood scenic artists, solving puzzles and riddles while exploring elaborate sets. The venue offers five primary games: Atlantis, where players search underwater ruins for the Poseidon Crystal; The Theatre, set in a haunted playhouse; The Alchemist, a medieval lab challenging players to unite four elements; The Pyramid, an expedition into a jungle temple seeking the Mask of the Jade Warrior; and The Detective, a 1940s film-noir mystery. Groups of up to 12 people can play together in private rooms with a live game master present. The venue also offers outdoor scavenger hunts in LA neighborhoods and online games.
