About Griffith Park & Southern Railroad

Griffith Park & Southern Railroad operates miniature train rides from two locations in Los Angeles. At the main Griffith Park location, trains travel over one mile of track, crossing a bridge and passing through a forest and an Old Western Town. Visitors can also ride the T-6 simulator, an adventure attraction for all ages. At Travel Town Railroad, trains circle the museum perimeter twice, and riders can explore dozens of antique railroad locomotives and cars afterward. Both facilities feature vintage miniature trains running on modern fuel. The railroad has operated since 1948 and operates at multiple seasonal hours published on its website. Special events throughout the year include Easter-themed rides with the Easter Bunny, Halloween attractions, and a Holiday Lights Train Ride. Party and picnic areas with facades are available for group reservations. Tickets are sold online and in person at each location.
