About Museum of Contemporary Art
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles presents rotating exhibitions of modern and contemporary work, including pieces from its permanent collection spanning the 1940s through 1970s. Visitors explore gallery installations featuring paintings, sculptures, and other media by artists such as Mark Rothko, Robert Rauschenberg, and Edward Ruscha. The museum operates two locations: MOCA Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. Programming includes artist talks, performances, and educational events throughout the year. The MOCA Digital Guide offers audio tours and self-guided experiences for visitors. A museum store sells art books and related items. The collection also highlights works by contemporary artists in rotating acquisitions exhibitions. Families and students find exhibitions and events designed to engage different ages and interests in contemporary art. MOCA is located in Los Angeles, California.
