About Los Angeles County Fire Museum

The Los Angeles County Fire Museum in Bellflower displays antique fire apparatus spanning the late 1800s through the 20th century, restored and ready for inspection in its showroom. The museum houses the world famous television show EMERGENCY!'s three apparatus: the Crown Engine 51, the Ward LaFrance Engine 51, and Squad 51. Also on display is Engine 23, the City of Bellflower's first Los Angeles County Fire Department engine, which underwent extensive restoration before the museum's 2018 opening. Docents are retired firefighters with direct experience on the department's apparatus and regional rigs. Display cases throughout the showroom contain fire-related artifacts, and the Engine Company 51 gift shop offers items available for purchase in-house and online. Group tours and private visits can be arranged. The museum operates Wednesday through Saturday, 9AM to 2PM. General admission is $5 per person; children 12 and under receive free admission, as verified at lacountyfiremuseum.com.
