About Clark Park Interpretive Center

Clark Park Interpretive Center in Buena Park features an extensive collection of fossils recovered from the park and surrounding Coyote Hills area in northern Orange County. Visitors examine marine fossils dating back up to 80 million years, as well as specimens from terrestrial mammals that inhabited the region tens of thousands of years ago. The center displays these recovered specimens in exhibits designed to illustrate the area's paleontological history. The facility includes renovated roof panels, windows, and structural beams that preserve both the building's integrity and the unique fossil collections inside. School and group tours are available by advance reservation, making the center suitable for educational visits. The interpretive center operates on a limited weekly schedule and serves as a museum dedicated to natural history and regional geology.
