The La Habra Historical Museum preserves and shares the history of La Habra through exhibits, historical photographs, documents, maps, and artifacts that span the city's development from the mission era through its agricultural and citrus history to the discovery of oil and modern growth. Founded in 1898, the La Habra Historical Society continues its mission to collect and interpret the city's stories through the contributions of local families including the Sansinena, Smith, Launer, Steele, Ridgway, Proud, and Jenson families. The museum's collection includes firsthand accounts and personal memories that connect La Habra's past with its present. The museum operates in a WPA-built building that originally served as the town library and is relocating to a new home on Euclid Street. The museum offers educational programs and exhibits that connect visitors to the city's heritage. Located in La Habra, California, the museum welcomes lifelong residents, former locals, researchers, and anyone curious about the city's history.
