About Fullerton Train Museum

The Fullerton Train Museum, presented by the Southern California Railway Plaza Association, allows visitors to walk through a growing collection of historic railcars maintained in service condition. The exhibits include three preserved cabooses representing transcontinental railroads that served Southern California: a 1929 Santa Fe Cupola Steel Car, a 1942 Union Pacific Tall Cupola Steel Caboose, and a 1961 Southern Pacific Bay Window Steel Caboose. The museum also features two 1940s Union Pacific lounge cars in period décor and a 1951 fully restored Santa Fe streamlined sleeping car, offering a glimpse into rail travel before AMTRAK and commercial aviation. Visitors can observe museum members restoring obsolete railroad equipment to operating condition and participate in guided tours during open hours. Seasonal events throughout the year include an Easter event and a Halloween celebration featuring a talking pumpkin. The museum is located in Fullerton, California, at the Fullerton Train Station.
