wetland/marsh landscape — photo from the venue's own site
The Bolsa Chica Conservancy Interpretive Center in Huntington Beach features exhibits within its 1,400 square foot facility dedicated to the adjacent Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Visitors explore displays about animals, plants, and birds found in the wetlands, as well as exhibits on the reserve's history spanning over ten thousand years. The center serves as a gateway to understanding the 1,449-acre saltwater marsh, the largest between Monterey Bay and the Tijuana River Estuary. From the interpretive center, approximately five miles of hiking trails wind through diverse ecosystems including salt marsh, grasslands, and coastal sand dunes. Trails traverse habitats that support migratory birds, rare and endangered species, and marine nursery grounds. The facility accommodates school visits and expanded educational programs for students. Visitors should remain on designated trails due to resident rattlesnakes, black widows, coyotes, and poison oak. The center and reserve welcome visitors from sunrise to sunset.
We check this attraction’s own website for offers. The last time we read bolsachica.org, on , there was no offer on it that we could verify.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
