Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens occupies a 1927 Spanish Colonial Revival building in San Clemente where visitors explore rotating museum exhibitions, a permanent art collection, and an Artists-In-Residence gallery called The Studio. The estate spans 2.5 acres of coastal gardens including a Butterfly Garden designated as a Monarch Waystation, Native American Gardens with plants used by the Acjachmen Indians, a Children's Garden, and the Bluff Top Gardens featuring a yucca planted by founder Ole Hanson in 1927. Admission includes access to cultural events such as Weekly Storytime on Wednesdays, Coffee Concerts on the third Friday of each month, and the Ask a Master Gardener program. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission. General admission for all ages is free on the first Sunday of every month. The gift shop sells locally made items, Casa Romantica merchandise, and Casa Cuttings from the gardens. Tickets are sold online on the venue's site, and hours are published there.
