King Manor Museum is the historic home of Rufus King, a framer and signer of the United States Constitution who lived here with his family over three generations. Visitors tour the house to learn about King's life as a U.S. Senator, passionate antislavery advocate, and agricultural innovator who developed the 160-acre property into a working farm. The museum preserves early American life in Jamaica, Queens through guided tours available Tuesday through Saturday. School groups can arrange K-12 field trips to the historic home or request the King Manor curriculum brought directly to classrooms. Current exhibitions include "The Bicentennial Revisited: The Spirit of '76?" and "Bangladesh Not 'Bhaangadesh.'" The Servants' Quarters and multiple rooms within the main house are accessible by wheelchair ramp at the rear entrance. Located in Jamaica, Queens near the E, J, and F subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road, the museum welcomes visitors.
Admission is free. The venue says: “We have free tours, festivals, crafts, and more!”
