About Voelker Orth Museum

Voelker Orth Museum in historic Flushing, Queens, invites visitors to tour a restored 1890s Victorian house, explore period rooms, and wander through gardens and a bird sanctuary on the grounds. The museum operates drop-in guided house tours on Sunday and Wednesday afternoons, with tours accommodating up to fifteen people at a time. The Victorian Garden remains open on weekdays and Sunday afternoons, offering a quiet space where visitors can sit or stroll among plantings that change through the seasons. The grounds and museum's first floor are wheelchair accessible. The venue also hosts workshops and special events throughout the year, including a Honey Harvest Festival featuring local honey from the museum's own bees. School groups are welcome by appointment. Children must be accompanied by adults in the garden and at programs. The museum publishes admission prices on its website.
