About Hospital of Emotions

Hospital of Emotions is an immersive art exhibition housed within a real hospital building in Los Angeles. Seventy artists working across visual art, installation, architecture, design and street art have transformed over 80 hospital rooms across four floors into site-specific artworks. Each room serves as its own hospital department dedicated to exploring a distinct human emotion: joy, love, fear, anger, hope, sadness, gratitude and resilience. Visitors move through the building room by room at their own pace, discovering installations within operating rooms, patient rooms, emergency spaces, nurses' stations and corridors. Artists have transformed walls, ceilings, floors and furniture to create fully immersive environments. Operating rooms and other medical spaces become emotional landscapes, with no two rooms following the same artistic interpretation. Entry occurs during scheduled time intervals to manage the visitor experience, after which guests explore freely without a predetermined path through the exhibition.
