About Hospital of Emotions

Hospital of Emotions is an immersive art exhibition inside a former hospital building in Los Angeles. Seventy artists have transformed more than eighty hospital rooms across four floors into site-specific installations exploring human emotions. Each room represents a different feeling—joy, love, fear, anger, hope, sadness, gratitude, and resilience—created by a separate artist working across disciplines including visual art, installation, architecture, design, and street art. Visitors move through the building room by room at their own pace, discovering unexpected emotional landscapes. Former operating rooms, patient rooms, emergency bays, nurses' stations, and corridors become fully immersive environments where artists have transformed walls, ceilings, floors, and furniture into complete artistic worlds. There is no fixed path or guided tour. Some installations fill entire rooms with maximalist floor-to-ceiling work; others use sparse, quiet approaches. The hospital building itself becomes part of the artwork. Located in Los Angeles, California, the exhibition offers an alternative experience to traditional wall-based galleries.
