About Tennessee Agricultural Museum
The Tennessee Agricultural Museum in Nashville offers visitors a self-guided exploration of more than 4,000 artifacts documenting life in Tennessee before electricity. The museum occupies two levels of exhibits within the brick-entrance Ellington Agricultural Center and includes an heirloom garden and historic cabins. Visitors walk through displays that illustrate agricultural heritage and rural living conditions from earlier centuries. The museum operates Monday through Friday, with general admission free to all guests. The facility provides handicap-accessible restrooms and parking for those with mobility needs. Educational programs, school group field trips, and bus tours are available through arrangement. The museum also hosts special events throughout the year. Located ten miles south of downtown Nashville on Hogan Road within the 207-acre Ellington Agricultural Center, the museum attracts more than 15,000 visitors annually and serves as a community resource for learning about Tennessee's agricultural history.
