About Nashville Zoo at Grassmere

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere features a new South American exhibit where visitors encounter capybaras, giant anteaters, crested screamers, and rheas in a shared habitat. The zoo displays red pandas, giraffes, and other animals across multiple exhibits and attractions throughout the grounds. Visitors explore the zoo at their own pace using the zoo map, with timed-entry reservations required for all guests. The facility offers backstage pass tours for closer animal encounters and hosts special events including Boo at the Zoo, Glow Wild, and BOOze at the Zoo. Educational programs include zoo camps, homeschool days, youth programs, scout programs, and night owl expeditions. The zoo rents manual wheelchairs and electric scooters at the entrance on a first-come basis, and trained service dogs are welcome. Admission prices vary by visit date, with youth ages two through twelve receiving four dollars off adult ticket prices, military personnel and their party receiving ten dollars off with military ID, and members saving two dollars on guest passes. Tickets are sold online at nashvillezoo.org.
