Cheekwood is a 55-acre historic estate in Nashville that combines botanical gardens with art exhibitions. Visitors explore multiple themed gardens including the Martin Boxwood Garden surrounding an elegant Georgian-style mansion, the Brackens Foundation Children's Garden with interactive features, the Howe Garden devoted to wildflowers, the Blevins Japanese Garden designed as a meditative tea garden, and the Herb Study garden. The estate features an arboretum showcasing daffodils, dogwoods, and indigenous plant life across the southern landscape. Inside the mansion, rotating art exhibitions display paintings and works from collections like the Hainsworth Collection. Throughout the year, Cheekwood offers classes in relief printing and alcohol ink techniques, plus seasonal events such as Cheekwood Harvest and artist-in-residence programs.
