Lane Motor Museum in Nashville displays over 200 unique cars and motorcycles spanning from the early 1900s to modern day. The museum houses the largest European automotive collection in the United States, featuring microcars, amphibious vehicles, military vehicles, alternative fuel vehicles, one-of-a-kind prototypes, and motorcycles from Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Visitors explore the main museum gallery to examine these vehicles, each accompanied by informational signs detailing its history and background. The museum operates as a working facility with the goal of maintaining all vehicles in running condition. Vehicle demonstrations take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 am with admission. Current exhibits include First Person Fantasies showcasing video game cars, Competition Classics featuring racing history, and Purpose Takes Flight, a collaborative art installation. School groups and other organized parties are welcome, and self-guided group visits allow visitors to spend time with vehicles that interest them most.
