About The Parthenon

The Parthenon is the world's only exact-size replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, located in Nashville's Centennial Park. Visitors explore four galleries of art and history, plus the interior recreation of an ancient temple. The museum houses a large gold statue of Athena, holding a small statue in her left hand and a shield in her right. The Parthenon offers guided tours, sketching sessions, and STEAM nights that connect sciences and arts to the collections. School groups participate in K-12 field trips with docent-led tours covering visual art, architecture, engineering, history, math, science, and technology aligned with Tennessee curriculum standards. Adult groups can also arrange guided visits. The museum offers an exterior architecture audio tour available around the clock.
