About Historical Society of Pennsylvania

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania is a research library and archive in Philadelphia where visitors access original documents spanning more than 350 years of history. The collection includes more than 21 million records: manuscripts, maps, photographs, and printed works held in the Reading Room. Visitors can view drafts of the United States Constitution written by James Wilson, a delegate from York, Pennsylvania.
