About Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History
Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History features Colors of Creation, a 360-degree multi-sensory gallery where visitors imagine, create, and play in an immersive environment. The museum presents The First Salute, an exhibition about America's fight for freedom and Jewish persecution on the high seas. The Core Exhibition spans 1654 to 1945 and the Only in America Gallery explores American Jewish life across centuries. Visitors can join drop-in docent tours on Fridays through Sundays. Located steps from the Liberty Bell on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, the museum opens Wednesday through Sunday. Active military families receive free admission through Labor Day via the Blue Star Museums Program; Philadelphia high school students get free entry with a STAMP Pass; ACCESS/EBT cardholders pay two dollars for themselves and up to three companions; Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders receive one free admission on the first full weekend of each month.
