Morris Arboretum & Gardens is a 92-acre public garden in Chestnut Hill where visitors explore seasonal plantings, garden spaces, and rotating exhibitions. The grounds feature rose gardens, specimen trees, and architectural elements constructed from reclaimed wood. Families with children under 14 can participate in storytime events, sensory celebrations, and leaf hunts throughout the seasons. The Garden Railway displays a beloved cartoon train that runs along dedicated tracks, with special weekend operations when the train travels the entire track system. Visitors may attend educational programs including classes on small trees for smaller spaces, wine and cheese garden tours, and design contests like the Scarecrow Design Contest that invite creative participation. Group tours are available for organized visits. The arboretum sells general admission tickets online and on-site, and members receive unlimited admission for a year.
