About Abington Art Center

Abington Art Center in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania presents rotating exhibitions, classes, and community events designed around arts engagement and creation. Visitors explore gallery exhibitions such as Art Behind Bars and the Faculty, Staff, and Member Show, then browse the outdoor Sculpture Park during daylight hours at no charge. The Studio School offers visual arts classes for ages 4 through 17 in drawing, painting, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, animation, and comics. Adult programs include painting, drawing, ceramics, metals and jewelry, and printmaking. Summer camps serve ages 4 through 16. The center hosts seasonal programming including the Holiday Art & Fine Craft Fair on its expansive lawn, a Summer Concert Series, Coffee Break Conversations with exhibiting artists, and KidFest. The 27-acre historic campus centers on Alverthorpe Manor, a 52-room art deco mansion built in 1939. The grounds open to the public from dawn to dusk, with manor hours varying by season.
