The California Science Center is one of the nation's largest science centers, located in Los Angeles and featuring multiple hands-on galleries and special exhibitions. Visitors explore interactive displays across various disciplines while learning through direct engagement with science concepts. The facility houses the IMAX Theater, which projects films onto a seven-story screen using laser projection and a twelve-channel surround sound system. Current IMAX offerings include Mummies 3D: Secrets of the Pharaohs, Blue Whales 3D, Antarctica 3D, and The Blue Angels 3D. The center also features the Mummies of the World exhibition, the GAME ON exhibit exploring science, sports and play, the Life! Beginnings exhibit, and the Ecosystems Garden showcasing Los Angeles ecosystems. Big Lab Field Trips provide organized group experiences. The core exhibit galleries welcome visitors daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors may spend hours moving between exhibits and watching IMAX presentations to create a full day of science exploration.
