Brookfield Zoo Chicago is a 235-acre zoo in Riverside, Illinois where visitors explore animal exhibits, watch sea lions at Sea Lion Cove, and experience Dolphin Discovery encounters. The zoo features Big Cats, Habitat Africa exhibits covering the Forest, Kopje, and Savanna, Regenstein Wolf Woods, Great Bear Wilderness, and The Living Coast. Guests ride the carousel, participate in Hamill Family Wild Encounters, and visit the Hamill Family Play Zoo. The zoo opens daily at 10 a.m., with closing times varying by season, and remains closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Admission charges vary by age, with children under 2 admitted free, and tickets are sold online on the venue's site. Senior Sundays offers one free senior admission when a second senior admission is purchased; the site listed this offer through November 22.
