The Geneva History Museum occupies a downtown location in Geneva, Illinois and received national accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums in 2022. Visitors explore two galleries including the Main Gallery, "Geneva's Story," which presents the museum's permanent collection, and a rotating feature gallery. Current exhibitions include "Through the Eyes of Geneva," which examines 250 years of American history through local photographs, personal stories, and artifacts, and a hands-on children's architecture exhibition where kids design rooms, build brick patterns, and construct structures while learning about Geneva buildings. The museum hosts educational programs for school groups in grades two through five and high school, offers a traveling trunk rental for classroom use, and presents monthly programs on rotating topics. A research room provides access to historical resources, and a gift shop sells Geneva-themed items. The facility is climate controlled and ADA compliant, with two exhibition galleries and climate-controlled storage for its collections.
