Big Run Wolf Ranch is a federally licensed educational facility in Lockport specializing in North American wildlife. Visitors encounter wolves including Luna, J.J., Sitka, Tikaani, and Nova, along with Kuma the black bear and Shere Khan the Siberian tiger, plus a Canadian lynx named Yoki. The ranch operates on specific open-house dates when the public can view these animals and participate in educational programs. The facility offers tent camping where visitors can hear wolves throughout the night, birthday party hosting with animal encounters, and private presentations for school groups, scouts, church organizations, and homeschool groups. These presentations include onsite educational shows and private tours. Seasonal pass holders receive free admission to open houses, a scheduled private tour for up to ten people, and a gift. Animal adoption options provide certificates, photos, and private tours. The ranch has operated as a rescue facility for approximately 40 years, with most animals present because rescue was their only alternative to euthanasia.
