About Wolfe Wildlife Park

Wolfe Wildlife Park is a natural wetlands refuge in Oak Lawn where visitors walk paved trails and observe from wooden decks to spot wildlife. The 45-acre park is home to more than 100 bird species including the Black-Crowned Night Heron, Double-Crested Cormorant, Peregrine Falcon, and Great White Egret. Visitors may also encounter frogs, turtles, raccoons, foxes, insects, and Monarch Butterflies throughout the refuge. The park offers nature programs and hosts the annual Howl-O-Ween event. Families can use the playground, which features a custom tree-themed play structure with four strap swings, two tot swings, and a tire swing. A shelter area is available for rent for gatherings. The park includes a pond, seasonal restrooms, and is ADA accessible. Current renovations are adding six pickleball courts, exercise equipment, game tables, and improved trails and lighting throughout the park.
