Boney Island is a walk-through Halloween attraction in Los Angeles that features hundreds of interactive skeleton characters engaged in various activities and scenes. Created by Simpsons producer Rick Polizzi and Aqua Dazzle owner Rex Danyluk, the venue emphasizes imagination and wonder rather than scares. Visitors explore at their own pace through a world of larger-than-life skeleton displays, magical illusions, and immersive Halloween experiences. The attraction includes live magic shows performed by magicians throughout the evening and Maestro Maxilla's Water Show, a choreographed spectacle combining music, lights, and glow-in-the-dark water effects that runs every fifteen minutes. Skeletons throughout the venue play music, tell jokes, and run various businesses including shops and entertainment stands. Unlike traditional haunted houses or mazes, Boney Island contains no jump scares, no maze elements, and no chasing actors, making it accessible to guests of all ages.
