The Andrus Planetarium at Hudson River Museum in Yonkers presents ticketed shows on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm, and 3:30pm, with each time slot designed for different age groups. The 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 3:30pm shows suit young children, while the 2pm offering is live and interactive, exploring what the night sky will look like later that evening and welcoming all ages. The planetarium features programs covering topics from the moon's mysteries and the search for extraterrestrial life to the stories behind stars. Current offerings include Asteroid: Mission Extreme, a 25-minute show for ages 8 and up narrated by Sigourney Weaver, which explores how asteroids represent both dangers and opportunities for reaching distant parts of the solar system. Shows begin promptly as scheduled with no admittance after start time. The facility is equipped with Radio Frequency Assisted Listening Systems.
