Sarah Lawrence College Center for the Urban River at Beczak is an environmental education center where visitors explore Hudson River ecology through indoor exhibits and outdoor activities. Inside, aquaria display native species including fish, crabs, turtles, and oysters caught during seining programs, while a thirteen-foot Atlantic sturgeon skeleton occupies the Hudson River Species Display. A Watershed Table demonstrates how the estuary functions, and the Kids' Corner offers books, drawing supplies, and found treasures from the beach. The CURB Library holds marine field guides and Hudson River resources. Outdoors, visitors explore a sandy beach at low tide, observe native plants in a constructed tidal salt marsh, stroll through Habirshaw Park's two grassy acres with Palisades views, and visit a seasonal garden. Programs include hands-on seining and Hudson River ecology courses. Located one block north of Yonkers Train Station in Yonkers, New York, CURB operates on a published schedule.
