About Woodmont
Woodmont, a National Historic Landmark in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, is a Manor House owned and operated by Palace Mission Inc. of the Peace Mission Movement. Visitors take guided tours of the historic residence at no charge. The site also features Father Divine's Library and Museum, where exhibits document the Peace Mission Movement's history and teachings. Tours are available on select days and times; group arrangements can be made by advance contact. The property was dedicated by Father Divine as the Mount of the House of the Lord and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1998. Located on Spring Mill Road opposite the Philadelphia Country Club, Woodmont sits sixteen miles from center city Philadelphia. Visitors should dress modestly, following the International Modest Code established by Father Divine, which prohibits smoking, drinking, and other behaviors considered disruptive to the spiritual mission of the site.
