About The Barnacle Historic State Park

The Barnacle Historic State Park in Miami invites visitors to step back in time at what locals call the best backyard in Miami. The park offers a variety of activities including tours of the historic house, picnics on the lawn, and visits to the boathouse where volunteers build and restore boats. The park hosts moonlight concerts featuring live music, monthly 16mm film screenings through the AV Club, and special events throughout the year. Visitors can also participate in nature programs such as BioBlitz, an event focused on documenting local wildlife. The park operates as an open-air destination where families and individuals can relax on the grounds, listen to music, watch films, or simply enjoy fresh air and views of the sky. Located in Miami, Florida, The Barnacle Historic State Park preserves an architectural gem while providing educational and recreational opportunities for the public through an all-volunteer nonprofit organization.
