About Flamingo Gardens

Flamingo Gardens is a 60-acre botanical sanctuary and wildlife preserve in Davie where visitors explore specialized plant collections, encounter native Florida animals, and tour the Wray Home Museum. The gardens showcase over 3,000 species of rare and exotic plants, including some of the largest collections of naturalized orchids, cycads, and heliconias and gingers in the contiguous United States. The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary houses permanently injured Florida native wildlife including alligators, bobcats, eagles, otters, panthers, and flamingos. Visitors travel through gardens on narrated tram tours and explore rotating exhibits ranging from botanical watercolor paintings to seasonal festivals with themed entertainment and costume contests. The site includes a snack bar and grill. Admission tickets are sold online through flamingogardens.org.
