About Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables spans 83 acres of tropical plants where visitors walk shaded paths, see butterflies and birds, and explore the Wings of the Tropics butterfly and hummingbird exhibit. The Garden includes orchid collections, native pine rockland habitat, desert succulents in the Spiny Forest, and a waterfall with lotus flowers. Visitors can take a free narrated tram tour, attend hands-on classes in orchid growing and gardening techniques, or dine at the Glasshouse Café. Tickets are sold online at fairchildgarden.org with several discounts: save $5 by purchasing online, college students ages 18–24 save $9 with valid ID, AAA members save $2, those arriving by foot or bike save $5 for adults or $2 for children, active military receive free admission, first responders get 50% off, and Miami-Dade seniors receive one free admission on the first Wednesday of each month.
