About The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University houses Dinosaur Hall, where visitors explore towering dinosaur skeletons, visit the Fossil Prep Lab, and dig through The Big Dig exhibit. The museum displays 19 million specimens spanning natural history, biodiversity, and evolution across multiple galleries including dioramas, tropical plant exhibits, and live butterfly displays. Visitors encounter Egyptian mummies, meteorites, and gemstone collections. Hands-on science workshops, naturalist presentations featuring live animals, and family events run throughout the week. The Academy is accessible for visitors using wheelchairs and scooters, and the gift shop is open without museum admission. ACCESS Card holders receive general admission for $2 per person, up to four people, excluding special exhibits. One caregiver or aide accompanying a guest with disabilities receives free admission.
