About Pacifica State Beach

Pacifica State Beach is a wide crescent-shaped beach off Highway 1 that marks the northern gateway to the San Francisco coastline, open for day use only until sundown. Visitors swim, fish, and surf in the rolling Pacific waters, or explore the shoreline on foot and bicycle using the park's hiking and bike trails. The beach accommodates nature and wildlife viewing, and geocaching enthusiasts can search for hidden caches throughout the park. Dogs are welcome on the beach. Drinking water is available, and the park is wheelchair accessible. The parking lot sits just south of Crespi Drive, with the beach immediately adjacent. Pacifica State Beach can be reached by taking Highway 1 south from San Francisco or north from Half Moon Bay. The park does not accept the Annual Day Use Pass.
