About Bolsa Chica State Beach

Bolsa Chica State Beach features prime surfing waves that draw consistent crowds to its Orange County shoreline along the Pacific Coast Highway. The beach extends from Golden West to Warner Avenue, offering day-use access with parking coordinated through an online portal. Visitors can swim, surf, and walk the multiuse trail, which permits leashed dogs though pets are not allowed on sand. The visitor center operates daily, and the beach itself opens from 6AM to 10PM. Fourth graders and their families receive free entry at this park alongside 53 other select state parks. Visitors with permanent disabilities save 50 percent on day-use fees with a lifetime Disabled Discount Pass, or pay reduced rates of $7.50 on regular days and $10 during summer weekends.
