About Asian Art Museum

The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco houses more than 6,000 years of Asian art and culture across permanent collections and rotating exhibitions. Visitors explore galleries at their own pace, using the free mobile app to access self-guided audio tours of highlights. The museum features galleries dedicated to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Islamic art, alongside special exhibitions such as the Ha Chong-Hyun Retrospective. A timed-ticket system allows visitors to stay as long as they wish and reenter throughout the day. General admission is $20, with discounted special exhibition tickets available. On the first Sunday of each month, general admission is free and special exhibition tickets are discounted to $10. Tickets are sold online through asianart.org.
