About Exploratorium

The Exploratorium is a public learning laboratory at Pier 15 in San Francisco where visitors explore science, art, and human perception through over 650 exhibits. Guests blow giant rainbow bubbles, run through fog, and crawl into darkness inside the Tactile Dome. The museum offers After Dark Thursday nights for adults ages 18 and up, field trip programs for school groups, and rotating exhibitions like Life in Space. A restaurant and café, museum store, and accessibility features support visits. Military personnel, active and retired, may purchase reduced admission tickets on site. AAA members receive reduced admission tickets on site. Public school PreK–12 teachers from outside California receive a $10 discount on admission.
