About Aquarium of the Bay

Aquarium of the Bay at PIER 39 houses over 20,000 local marine animals across exhibits including Discover the Bay, Go with the Flow, Under the Bay, and Bay Lab, where visitors touch and interact with the region's aquatic life. River otters, sharks, and other Northern California species are on display throughout the facility. The aquarium runs daily programs and hosts special events like Fleet Week Watch Party celebrations and Gills Club, a free hands-on STEM program about sharks. Families and school groups visit to explore San Francisco Bay's ecosystem and watershed. Tickets are sold online at aquariumofthebay.org, where the venue publishes admission prices.
