San Francisco Botanical Garden showcases 55 acres of landscaped gardens displaying more than 8,000 plant species from around the world, including distinctive collections like the Andean Cloud Forest with its towering wax palms and fuchsia varieties. Visitors explore region-specific gardens such as the Arthur L. Menzies Garden of California Native Plants, where coast redwoods tower above wildflowers and native sages, alongside dedicated spaces for Australian species, Chilean plants, Mediterranean flora, and Southeast Asian cloud forests. Specialty gardens feature camellias, rhododendrons, high elevation palms, the Children's Garden, Moon Viewing Garden, Succulent Garden, and the Garden of Fragrance. The garden is accessible to all and opens daily at 7:30am with last entry at 6pm. Tickets are sold online on the venue's site.
