Oliver Miller Homestead is a museum in South Park Township where visitors tour a restored 18th-century frontier farmstead at their own pace. The stone house, the centerpiece of the site, contains six rooms including a keeping room, craft room with spinning and weaving equipment, kitchen with a large cooking hearth, and three bedrooms where quilting often takes place. The grounds feature a barn housing a whiskey still and Whiskey Rebellion exhibit, a demonstration shed, transportation shed with an antique buggy, working blacksmith forge, original spring house, log house, and fire pit area. Docents in period dress demonstrate heritage crafts and answer questions on Sundays. Special events scheduled throughout the year include Fiber, Fabric, and Fashion, Into the Garden, Liberty Day, Whiskey Rebellion Day, 18th Century Firearms and Accoutrements Days, and the 18th Century Market Fair. Self-guided tours typically take an hour or more. The homestead charges admission and is open seasonally on Sundays with hours published online.
