About The Clemente Museum

The Clemente Museum occupies a restored historic firehouse in Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville neighborhood and tells the story of Roberto Clemente through guided tours and open houses. Visitors walk through five timeline vignettes spanning Clemente's early life, his eighteen-year career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and his final months. The museum houses the world's largest exhibited collection of baseball artifacts, photographs, documents, ephemera, and memorabilia focused on Clemente, his teammates, and his humanitarian work with children. Docent-led guided tours last approximately seventy-five minutes and guide visitors through the collection while explaining the history of Engine House 25 and the museum's creation. Open house tours allow guests to view the exhibits at their own pace with docents available to answer questions. Private tours are available for groups of twelve or more with advance notice. The museum is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and offers free parking with accessible spaces available.
