About Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium

Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium houses over 8,000 animals across exhibits featuring African elephants, Amur tigers, Komodo dragons, penguins, flamingos, and blacktip reef sharks. Visitors walk through habitats to observe these species and attend events such as Breakfast with the Animals, International Red Panda Day, and the Jack O'Lantern Extravaganza. The facility also operates the International Conservation Center on nearly 1,000 acres in Somerset, where guests encounter African elephants, bison, and Bactrian camels during special events. Children under 24 months receive free admission. Active duty service members, reservists, and veterans get $5 off general daytime admission with proper identification, and receive free admission during Armed Forces Day through Memorial Day, on Independence Day, and on Veterans Day through November 11. SNAP-eligible residents of 10 surrounding counties qualify for $5 general daytime admission for groups up to 4 people through the OpporZOOnity Program. Tickets are sold online at pittsburghzoo.org.
