About Beaver County Industrial Museum

The Beaver County Industrial Museum in Darlington explores the industrial heritage that shaped Western Pennsylvania from the 19th and 20th centuries. Visitors tour displays and collections documenting the region's dominant industries, particularly glass and steel. An entire room features glass on display alongside a video presentation of Fry Glass, showing how glass was manufactured in early 20th-century Beaver County. The museum houses thousands of photographs, color slides, films, and DVDs from companies across the region, including more than 6,500 black and white photographs from J&L Steel alone. Artifacts and images document steelworks, glass factories, cutlery manufacturers, and other Beaver County industries. The museum's photo collection spans machinery, workers, finished products, and industrial facilities from enterprises including Keystone Driller Company, Colonial Steel, and Beaver Falls Cutlery. General admission is free. The museum is located at a small house on Plumb Street in Darlington, just off Route 168.
