About Coventry Log Cabin

Coventry Log Cabin is a preserved 1825 log house at Robin Hill Park in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, where visitors explore the home of John Coventry, a Revolutionary War veteran, farmer, and weaver who lived in the cabin for fifty years alongside his family. The structure later housed the Doehre family for three generations before being abandoned around 1975. The Moon Township Historical Society acquired and maintains the cabin as part of its mission to preserve local history. Visitors interested in early Pennsylvania settlement patterns, Revolutionary War-era life, and nineteenth-century domestic architecture can tour the restored building. The cabin represents the region's heritage and demonstrates construction methods and daily living conditions from the early 1800s. The site suits history enthusiasts and those researching Moon Township's past. The Moon Township Historical Society also offers related speaker presentations on regional history throughout the year.
