About Museum of Southern History at Houston Christian University

The Museum of Southern History at Houston Christian University documents the mid-1800s South through room settings, cases, and dioramas displaying clothing, fine furnishings, uniforms, tools, and weapons. Visitors explore these exhibits to understand how settlers inhabited the region and rebuilt their lives following the Civil War. The museum shares the Morris Cultural Arts Center on campus with the Museum of American Architecture and Decorative Arts and the Dunham Bible Museum.
