About The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston displays art across three gallery buildings on the Sarofim Campus and two house museums near Memorial Park. Visitors tour the Audrey Jones Beck Building, Caroline Wiess Law Building, and Nancy and Rich Kinder Building to see paintings, decorative arts, and furnishings. Rienzi, situated on four wooded acres in River Oaks, houses European decorative arts, porcelain, and miniatures in a 1952 John Staub-designed home. Bayou Bend presents American decorative arts and paintings. The museum offers docent-led tours, family programs, lectures, and music performances. Special exhibitions include Pipilotti Rist's LED light installation Pixel Forest and the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Masterpieces exhibition featuring Cezanne, Degas, Van Gogh, and Modigliani. Children twelve and younger receive free admission. Texas Lone Star Card holders get free admission for up to six household members. Bank of America cardholders receive one free admission on the first consecutive Saturday and Sunday of each month. Visitors purchasing tickets to both special exhibitions on the same day save up to 30 percent.
