The Houston Museum of African American Culture in Houston celebrates African American art, history, and culture through rotating exhibitions and permanent installations. Visitors explore curated shows featuring works by artists engaging with African and African American traditions. Recent exhibitions have included Lorenzo Pace: Never Forget Life and Art is to Play, which displays wood carvings, textiles, and found objects that bridge West African visual traditions with African American histories and quilting practices.
